THE SECRET ENTREPRENUER

This novel is based on the true story of an entrepreneur who shared his
amazing tale with author Amanda Armstrong; Mandy to her friends
and shortened further to ‘M’ by Ben, her secret entrepreneur.

The story begins with the author describing how retired business man,
Ben Taylor, contacted her to write his biography. He had stressed that
he and his family were very private so his identity must remain a
secret.

The meetings between M and Ben are set in the present day and the
author weaves these conversations and her experiences of writing for
this man around his true-life story, which spans his career from 1974 to
his successful exit of the business in 2012.

The story describes the moment Ben discovered his drive and
ambition, and the guiding factor behind his career; Stan, his business
guardian angel.

There is an element to Ben’s story which depicts events that lean
towards a prediction which, if correct, could cause serious
ramification’s in the year 2077.

Amanda describes her frustrations at working with Ben who is
reluctant to reveal the secret of 2077 and, although he is retired,
remains so busy with all the other projects he has taken on.

She shares her emotion as she writes about the people that have shared
Ben’s life and that have now become a part of hers.

With humour, emotion and the raw, ruthlessness of business, this is a
story within a story as the author faces the challenges of writing for a
man who is so private, she begins to wonder if she will ever truly know
who he is. To her, he was the secret entrepreneur, and he was wired for
wealth.

The end of this biography is left open to the sequel which will reveal
the secret of 2077.

That sequel, Into the Twilight, is currently now in progress.

“An interesting story following the life of an entrepreneur, with a unique concept in that we also learn the biographer’s story as she tells his. Quite a twist to it!”
